Barry Moore introduced the Public Health Emergency Accountability Act. This legislation would allow public health emergencies, which are declared by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, to automatically terminate every 90 days. These emergency declarations would need to approval of Congress to extend beyond 90 days.

In 2009, a newlywed couple from Enterprise was cruising down the highway with their whole lives ahead of them. In a split second, an illegal immigrant driving drunk hit the couple and fled the scene, and their lives were cut short. Unfortunately, the story of Angel and Jeremy Seay is not uncommon. In 2021 alone, there were 13,384 impaired driving fatalities and 400,000 injuries. These crashes don’t discriminate -- it could happen to me, or you, or a member of your family.
