Rep. Barry Moore supports funding to protect Israel
Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore voted in favor of H.R. 7217, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, sponsored by Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA). This legislation provides $17 billion for military assistance to our great ally Israel and helps ensure the safe return of American citizens impacted by the attacks from Hamas on Israel. Funds are needed for U.S. military operations in response to the attacks and to protect U.S. military personnel who are executing counter-extremist missions in the region from drone and rocket attacks by Iranian-backed proxies.
“Israel, our strategic ally for nearly 75 years, is working to defend itself against brazen terrorists who want to extinguish them," said Moore. "At least 1,400 Israelis and 32 Americans have lost their lives. For me, it’s as simple as 1, 2, 3 because Genesis 12:3 says, 'And I will bless them that bless Israel, and curse them that curse Israel.’ It is imperative we support and supply Israel with resources and demonstrate strength on the world's stage in a time of grave danger.
