Last week, President Biden gave a speech in Chicago touting the success of his “Bidenomics” plan. He says his policies are helping the middle class – but statistics show that couldn’t be further from the truth. Biden’s new, woke government regulations have cost the average American household an extra $10,000 over the last two years. What could you have done with that money in your bank account?
The phrase “Equal justice under law”, based upon the Fourteenth Amendment, is engraved on the front of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. and is foundational to our justice system. But under the Biden Administration, equal justice has morphed into weaponized government. Biden’s corrupt Justice Department has gone after parents, Catholic parishioners, pro-life Christians, and now his top political opponent, Donald J. Trump.
It’s no secret that Washington bureaucrats have a spending problem. The last time the United States had a balanced budget was more than 20 years ago, and with a national debt of $31 trillion and growing, a balanced budget seems more and more like a foreign concept. I won’t pretend to be a mathematician, but there’s one thing I do know: if we want to balance the budget, we have to spend less.
All government officials take the same oath: to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to faithfully discharge the duties of their office.
Since Alejandro Mayorkas became Homeland Security Secretary, there have been five million illegal encounters at our southern border, one million known got-aways, 85,000 unaccompanied minors lost by our government, and 120,000 deaths from the fentanyl pouring across.
Providing someone more credit when they have not been responsible with their existing credit doesn’t fix anything. So why do Democrats want to do this with our government? The Republican Limit, Save, Grow Act will save $4.8 trillion of taxpayer dollars, avoid government default, limit woke, weaponized and wasteful spending, and fire Biden’s army of 87,000 IRS agents.
Democrat policies are causing a crime spike in blue cities across our country. In San Francisco, total crime rose by eight percent last year. In our Nation’s capital, murder rates have reached a 15-year high, and in New York City, major crimes rose by 22 percent. |
There’s an old law school saying, coined by a former New York Supreme Court justice, that a grand jury can “indict a ham sandwich.” This adage has gained popularity in the 38 years since it was uttered because grand juries only hear one side of the case during the indictment proceedings. |
Democrats spent the last seven years telling us that President Trump is a threat to our democracy. They also spent the last seven years orchestrating lie after lie in an attempt to eliminate him from politics. And why wouldn’t they? Until he ran for president, Americans didn’t realize that so many Washington bureaucrats were weaponized against them. The real threat to our democracy is the sham accusations they continue to use to try to put their chief political rival behind bars and preserve the swamp.
The Judiciary Committee held an explosive field hearing at the southern border exposing its many dangers, not just for the American people but those seeking to cross it illegally. The Democrats on our committee chose not to participate, but those of us who did saw firsthand the astonishing disaster President Biden’s policies have created. Our hearing witnesses confirmed that migrants from over 100 countries, including China and Russia, are paying up to fifteen thousand dollars apiece to be smuggled across our border by criminal cartels.
