Barry Moore (AL-02)'s legislation to rename the United States Post Office located at 379 N Oates Street in Dothan as the LaBruce 'Bruce' Tidwell Post Office passed the House of Representatives. Alabama Reps. Robert Aderholt, Jerry Carl, Gary Palmer, Mike Rogers, Terri Sewell, and Dale Strong are co-sponsors of this legislation.
Democrats want noncitizens to vote
This week, House Republicans passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would uphold and strengthen current law that permits only U.S. citizens to vote in Federal elections.
Days before this vote, President Biden said he would oppose the SAVE Act because “it would make it much harder for all eligible Americans to register to vote and increase the risk that eligible voters are purged from the rolls.”
