Rep. Barry Moore joins Jeff Poor to discuss influx of migrants in Alabama

September 19, 2024

Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) joined the Jeff Poor Radio Show on FMTalk 1065 to discuss the influx of migrants across Alabama, including in his own community in Coffee County. Click here to listen to the full interview.

From Moore's interview:

Jeff Poor: "There is a lot of concern about [Haitian migrant resettlement] and the hot spots right now are Sylacauga, Albertville, Athens, and it looks like Enterprise is about to become one of those."

Barry Moore: "I think the [Biden-Harris] Administration is giving [the migrants] work visas and shipping them into our cities. The problem with that is there are no resources for them. We knew this border crisis [would eventually be in our back yard]. I've been to the border three times, and I knew it wasn't going to stop in Arizona, Texas or California. These people would eventually find their way into our communities, and we see that taking effect."
