Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore voted in favor of H.R. 6126, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act. Rep. Moore is also a co-sponsor of this legislation. This legislation provides $14.3 billion in emergency supplemental appropriations – fully offset – to provide military assistance to our great ally Israel and ensure the safe return of American citizens impacted by the attacks from Hamas on Israel.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) introduced legislation to rename the United States Post Office located at 379 N Oates Street in Dothan as the LaBruce 'Bruce' Tidwell Post Office. Alabama Reps. Robert Aderholt, Jerry Carl, Gary Palmer, Mike Rogers, Terri Sewell, and Dale Strong are co-sponsors of this legislation.

The speakership fight

This week, we elected the 56th Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson from Louisiana. As you likely know, electing a Speaker was not an easy task. This all began last month when we faced a possible government shutdown because Congress had failed, once again, to pass all 12 appropriations bills to fund the government. Due to the missed deadline, some Republicans voted in favor of a motion to vacate the chair and Speaker McCarthy was ousted.
