The Moore You Know
Welcome to our March monthly wrap-up newsletter. After four long weeks in Washington, it’s great to be back home connecting with constituents. From Breakfast with Barry to our District Office Grand Openings, I’ve enjoyed meeting some of you at our recent events across the district.
If you missed out on the fun - don’t worry! We have more events scheduled to answer your questions and address your concerns. To stay informed on upcoming events, sign up for our email list, check out our website, and follow our accounts on social media.

HIGHLIGHTS

Protecting Second Amendment Rights
As a proud gun owner, I found two recent pieces of legislation, H.R. 8 and H.R. 1446, incredibly concerning for law-abiding citizens. We must protect, not weaken, Americans’ Constitutional right to bear arms. I will never stop fighting for your freedoms, including your ability to defend yourself and your family.

Southern Border Crisis
Unfortunately, the current situation at the southern border reflects a public health, humanitarian, and national security crisis. Detention facilities are overcapacity, cartels are trafficking young children and smuggling drugs, and COVID testing is widely inconsistent. In response to this alarming reality, I’m proud to join my House Freedom Caucus colleagues in the fight to secure the border and put Americans first.

Helping Our National Guard
This month, I introduced my first piece of legislation, which would expand the number of National Guard members eligible for GI Bill benefits. As a former member of the Alabama National Guard, I am well aware of the inequity surrounding benefits provided to servicemembers compared to those on active duty. We must remove bureaucratic hurdles to ensure these heroes receive the vital benefits they deserve.
National Agriculture Day
On National Agriculture Day, the Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA) hosted an event for me and my team to meet with farmers in our district. We answered excellent questions and discussed how we can assist their incredible efforts to feed and clothe Americans.
Breakfast with Barry
Last week, we held our inaugural Breakfast with Barry town hall at Our Place Diner in Ozark. Such a great morning spent answering constituents’ questions about the future of our nation.
Check out our website so you don’t miss our next breakfast!
Visiting Fort Rucker
It was an honor to learn more about Army aviation training and witness the incredible work being done at Fort Rucker. From important matters of national security to defending our Constitution, these brave men and women are true patriots. We are forever grateful for their sacrifice and humility.

Open & Ready to Serve
We were excited to welcome constituents to our grand opening events for our Andalusia and Dothan district offices. Our staff truly has service hearts and are ready to assist you and your family in any way.
Hope to see you at our Wetumpka grand opening on April 6th!
Health Care for Our Heroes
Last week, I had the privilege of meeting with the great team at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. I look forward to working together to help get our Veterans the assistance and support they need.
Visiting the Alabama National Guard
We were honored by the opportunity to meet with several men and women of the Alabama National Guard last week. As a former member myself, visits like this one have a special place in my heart. Their dedication to Alabamians and Americans is a testament to their character and bravery.
