Rep. Barry Moore votes to preserve American vehicle choice
Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in favor of H.R. 4468, the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act. This legislation, sponsored by Rep. Walberg (R-MI) and Rep. Clyde (R-GA), stops President Biden's agenda to force Americans to drive electric vehicles. Biden's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has created aggressive proposed standards that would force two-thirds of all new vehicles to be electric in less than a decade.
“The Biden Administration is determined to satisfy wealthy environmentalists and abandon regular Americans by making it almost impossible to purchase a combustion engine vehicle in the next decade," said Moore. "Electric vehicles are more expensive, less reliable, and charging stations in many states are few and far between. Americans should be able to choose what type of vehicle they want to purchase without interference from the federal government."
