Rep. Barry Moore urges creation of task force to study Trump assassination attempt

Washington, D.C.- Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted for a resolution to establish a bipartisan task force on the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump. The task force will be empowered with subpoena authority to investigate the short falls of Secret Service and other personnel that led to an assassin getting within 150 feet from President Trump.

"The security failures that led to an attempt on President Donald Trump's life are shocking," said Moore. "The Secret Service failed on a no-fail mission, and it's imperative that we figure out the facts and hold people accountable so it never happens again."
