Rep. Barry Moore supports FAA reauthorization bill
Washington, D.C.- Today, Rep. Barry Moore voted in favor of the Senate-amended version of H.R. 3935, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act, sponsored by Rep. Graves (R-MO). This $105 billion legislation repeals the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for aviation employees and contractors, allows the FAA to identify technologies to improve situational awareness and reduce the risk of collisions with other aircraft on runways, and requires airlines to provide refunds to passengers whose flight was either cancelled or delayed by 3+ hours if they do not want an alternative flight or voucher.
"This legislation provides critical aviation safety enhancements, grows the workforce by eliminating unconstitutional vaccine mandates, and improves the flying public's travel experience," said Moore. "If the airline cancels a flight or it delays for more than three hours, passengers who don't want a voucher or reschedule can now receive a refund automatically instead of having to spend hours on the phone with the airline."
