Rep. Barry Moore supports bill requiring Biden to declassify Wuhan lab leak intelligence

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in favor of S. 619, the COVID Origins Act of 2023, introduced by Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Mike Braun (R-IN). This legislation requires the Biden administration to declassify intelligence related to any potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the origins of the Covid pandemic.

"For nearly three years, any American asking if COVID-19 originated from a lab leak were silenced and branded as conspiracy theorists,” said Moore. "Now, these folks have been vindicated by the news that the FBI and some Biden Administration officials agree this deadly disease came from a lab in Wuhan, China. The Biden Administration should immediately declassify all intelligence reports pertaining to the origins of COVID-19 -- the American people deserve to know what the government knew and when they knew it. With millions of lives lost and whole scale disruption to the world’s economy, there must be accountability."
