Rep. Barry Moore supports appropriations transparency

Washington, D.C. — Rep. Barry Moore co-sponsored the Appropriations Transparency Act, introduced by Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI). This legislation amends the Congressional Budget Act to remove the exception from appropriations bills receiving scores from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). A CBO score allows the American public to get analysis and reports on the true cost of these bills.

"When Congress considers bills that spend billions and trillions in taxpayer dollars, the American people deserve to know the truth about what is in those bills,” said Moore. "I thank Rep. Grothman for spearheading this legislation that ensures transparency during the appropriations process."
