Rep. Barry Moore slams GAO crop insurance report

Washington, D.C. — Rep. Barry Moore released a statement following the publishing of a shortsighted Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on crop insurance.

"It's troubling to see the GAO completely ignore the benefits of federal crop insurance in this report," said Moore. "Alabama producers willingly pay premiums for crop insurance coverage because it provides steady assistance when disaster strikes and allows them to pay back their lenders, retain employees, and get back on their feet for the next farming season."
