Rep. Barry Moore slams Biden administration for Afghanistan collapse, urges media "Don't let them give you a scapegoat"
Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) spoke at the House Freedom Caucus press conference at the U.S. Capitol, calling for the media to hold the Biden administration accountable for the catastrophe in Afghanistan. A member of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Moore joined other veterans serving in Congress to return to Washington this week to demand that the Biden administration prioritize the safe removal of Americans and our allies before completing a military withdrawal from Afghanistan. Additionally, his office has requested assistance for over 250 Americans and allies trapped in Afghanistan. As the crisis escalated, Moore was among the first members of Congress to call for President Biden's resignation and has joined his House Freedom Caucus colleagues in demanding Speaker Pelosi call Congress back in session to vote on a resolution to impeach Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as well as resolutions calling for the resignations of President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and General Mark Milley.
