Rep. Barry Moore praises passage of resolution slamming Biden's WOTUS rule
Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in favor of a Congressional Review Act resolution led by Rep. Sam Graves (MO-06) expressing disapproval of a new final rule defining "waters of the United States" (WOTUS) that was implemented quietly by the Biden Administration on the last working day of 2022.The new rule discounts a pending Supreme Court case on Sackett v. EPA, which will address the scope of agency authority granted by Congress in the Clean Water Act. Moore is also a co-sponsor of the resolution. "I am proud to join Rep. Sam Graves and many of my GOP colleagues in standing against Biden's convoluted WOTUS rule that does nothing but create more government red tape for farmers, foresters and landowners to deal with," said Moore. "Eliminating President Trump's clear WOTUS definition is all about satisfying President Biden’s radical, wealthy environmentalist base and will cause confusion, waste hard-earned taxpayer dollars, and delay efforts to improve infrastructure and protect clean water."
