Rep. Barry Moore opposes Medicare Advantage cuts

March 19, 2024

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore joined Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) and 45 of his colleagues in a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services opposing proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage. Medicare Advantage plans are popular with seniors because they provide lower costs, contain out-of-pocket spending limits, allow better care coordination and provide additional benefits such as dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits—often without additional premiums.

"Thanks to Biden's 17.9% inflation tax, Alabama seniors are already struggling to make ends meet on a fixed income,” said Moore. "Cuts to Medicare Advantage take more of their hard-earned money and leave them with fewer healthcare options."
