Rep. Barry Moore to Majority Leader Schumer: "American families are waiting on you to put them first"
Washington, D.C.- Today, Rep. Barry Moore voted in support of H.R.3602, the End the Border Catastrophe Act. This legislation resumes construction of the border wall, which was halted by President Biden, requires the hiring of 22,000 new Customs and Border Patrol officers, restricts government funding to NGOs that encourage unlawful activity, and prohibits the Transportation Security Administration from accepting an arrest warrant to board planes at airport security checkpoints. Moore spoke in support of this legislation on the House floor yesterday.
“The strongest border bill in history, H.R.2, has been sitting on Majority Leader Schumer's desk for a year now," said Moore. "A vote on this legislation is another reminder to Schumer that American families are waiting on him and the Biden Administration to put them first. I will continue to do all I can to fight for a secure border in Congress, but I believe a vote to return to Donald Trump's immigration policies in November is the way to save this country and protect American families."
