Rep. Barry Moore highlights importance of policy changes in appropriations bills

February 21, 2024

Washington, D.C. — Rep. Barry Moore joined his House Freedom Caucus colleagues in a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson requesting an update on appropriations negotiations, specifically related to policies included in these bills that are most important to the American people.

These include defunding the Pentagon's illegal abortion travel and transgender surgeries, blocking Biden's attempts to dismantle existing border wall, defunding Dr. Fauci's "gain of function" research, prohibiting the purchase of American farmland by China, halting any funding for COVID-19 mask and vaccine mandates, and more.

"For the first time in more than 25 years, the House set a course to pass all twelve appropriations bills through regular order, and seven are already waiting for Majority Leader Schumer to take them up in the Senate,” said Moore. "We should take advantage of this opportunity to secure wins for the American people instead of forcing through an expensive omnibus monstrosity that forces taxpayers to fund Biden's radical policies."
