Rep. Barry Moore fights for FISA warrant requirement

April 15, 2024

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore voted once again to oppose a two-year reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) with no reforms. FISA has been used to unlawfully search and surveil Americans' data. Moore has been vocal in his opposition to a reauthorization of FISA without a warrant requirement.

"Tonight, we had one more chance to reform FISA and respect the Constitution, and I am disappointed that the effort did not have more support,” said Moore. "I voted to protect Americans' civil liberties and require the federal government to get a warrant before spying on American citizens."
