Rep. Barry Moore fights against President Biden’s outrageous ghost gun rule
Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) became an original co-sponsor of the Congressional Review Act Joint Resolution of Disapproval (CRA), which would prohibit the Department of Justice from implementing President Biden’s new rule to expand firearms definitions.
If passed, this resolution of disapproval would rescind President Biden’s ghost gun rule, which he announced on April 11th, 2022.
This rule would reclassify gun kits as firearms under the Gun Control Act, requiring manufacturers to be licensed and include serial numbers on the kits. It would also require commercial sellers to run background checks before selling the kits.
“This is yet another attack by the anti-Second Amendment Left to deprive Americans of their Constitutional freedoms,” said Rep. Moore. “President Biden’s ghost gun rule is another distraction from the reality that the explosions of crime in blue cities are directly attributable to those same cities install progressive prosecutors, and implement policies that defund the police and put the rights of criminals above victims. This is a slap in the face to every law-abiding gun owner, and I will not sit back at let the Democrats' false narratives strip our Second Amendment rights away.”
