Rep. Barry Moore demands answers on illegally undisclosed foreign gifts to 200 American universities

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore led a letter to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona demanding answers about why colleges across the nation failing to disclose billions from foreign donors despite those disclosures being mandated by law. Over 200 American colleges and universities illegally withheld information about $13 billion in foreign gifts, according to a report by the Network Contagion Research Institute.

"We have seen a horrific rise in antisemitism on college campuses across our country since the October 7th attack on Israel," said Moore. "I believe it's no coincidence that many of the universities failing to condemn antisemitism also illegally failed to disclose large gifts from foreign countries. I call on Secretary Cardona to immediately launch an investigation into these illegally undisclosed gifts and their influence on our universities."
