Rep. Barry Moore demands answers on appropriations process

Washington, D.C. —Today, Rep. Barry Moore joined the House Freedom Caucus in a letter to Speaker McCarthy demanding answers on the appropriations process leading up to the expiration of government funding on October 1, 2023. The Freedom Caucus is requesting an update on current issues with the four appropriations bills being considered, the schedule for the other five bills to be considered, and whether the Speaker will reject Senate Democrats' "Omnibus Preparation Act" that gives $6 billion in funding to Ukraine.

“I am committed to working in good faith with my colleagues across the conference to advance appropriations, but I want an update on where we're at and where we're going," said Rep. Moore. “I stand with my fellow colleagues in the House Freedom Caucus on our mission to cut reckless federal spending and get real wins for the American people."
