Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in support of H.Res.104, a resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) use of a high-altitude surveillance balloon over United States territory as a blatant violation of U.S. sovereignty.
“President Reagan preached the importance of ‘peace through strength,’ but Joe Biden must have slept through the sermon. This Chinese spy balloon was a test written by Xi Jinping and the CCP to evaluate Joe Biden, and he failed spectacularly,” said Moore. “By letting the balloon float across our entire country collecting valuable intelligence, Biden sent an unmistakable message of weakness that bad actors on the world stage will continue to exploit.” Background: - The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has admitted to having knowledge of the balloon before it entered United States airspace.
