Rep. Barry Moore calls for immediate release of Hamas hostages

Washington, D.C. — Today, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) voted in favor of H.Res.793, a resolution sponsored by Rep. Haley Stephens (MI-11) calling on Hamas to immediately release hostages taken during the October 2023 attack on Israel. An estimated 240 hostages were taken by Hamas, and only about 75 of them have been released so far.

“It is encouraging that some of the hostages have been released and reunited with their families," said Moore. "But there are still nearly 165 hostages that are in captivity, and it's estimated that at least 10 of them are Americans. We must continue our steadfast support for Israel, and we cannot rest until every single hostage is home."
