Rep. Barry Moore calls for changes in education for Palestinian children
Washington, D.C. — Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) supports H.R. 3266, the Peace and Tolerance in Palestine Education Act. Rep. Moore is also a co-sponsor of this legislation. This bill will create much needed U.S.-created reporting and oversight of educational materials produced by the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). This comes in light of their continued teaching of violence, incitement, and antisemitism.
“It is unacceptable that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency allows antisemitism and violence in their curriculum for Palestinian students," said Moore. "This legislation ensures that the American taxpayers aren't footing the bill for antisemitism in the classroom that can lead to abhorrent attacks like the ones we are currently seeing in Israel. We will never see peace in the Middle East if hate is being taught to Palestinian kids."
