Rep. Barry Moore: On the border crisis, House Judiciary Republicans will hold Biden’s feet to the fire

January 24, 2023

Washington, D.C. — Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Examiner on the border crisis contrasting the Biden administration's rhetoric with its record and vowing that the Judiciary Committee will hold them accountable. The op-ed also details the House Republican border security plan that will receive a vote this year.

Rep. Moore: On the border crisis, House Judiciary Republicans will hold Biden’s feet to the fire

There have been 4,282,214 known illegal border crossings under Biden — a staggering number that does not include the thousands of daily "gotaways" who evaded capture. And under Mayorkas’s “comprehensive strategy to secure our borders and build a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system,” 119 terrorism suspects have crossed the southern border... An estimated 196 Americans are now dying each day from [fentanyl]...

Congressional Republicans plan to hold Biden and Mayorkas accountable for the havoc they’ve wreaked at the border. But we also want to offer solutions. That’s what the public deserves: an accountable government that works to promote and protect their interests.
