Rep. Barry Moore accepts Democracy Award for workplace environment
Washington, D.C. -- On September 15th, Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) was recognized by The Congressional Management Foundation with the "Life in Congress- Workplace Environment" award and was runner up for the "Constituent Accountability and Accessibility" award.
From Rep. Moore's remarks at his award acceptance: "I was really blessed early on- and in this environment of D.C. many lose the public servant part of the job," said Moore. "So to truly be able to be public servants, Heather and I set out to hire people with true servant's hearts."
Rep. Moore's office was recognized for their flexible telework policy, use of new technologies to serve constituents, robust performance review program, and their use of bipartisan "hall parties" as a way to get to know other congressional offices. Click here to learn more about the award.
