Congressman Barry Moore Selected to Serve as Lead Republican of the Economic Opportunity Subcommittee
‘I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve.’
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Barry Moore (AL-02) announced he was selected to serve as the Ranking Member for the Economic Opportunity Subcommittee on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
“Ensuring that our heroes have a smooth transition into the civilian workforce is critical, and we have a responsibility to remove any unnecessary barriers Veterans face as they seek civilian employment. As a Veteran turned small business owner, I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to achieve bipartisan and concrete solutions that promote Veterans’ career advancements and give them the tools they need to succeed following their military service,” said Congressman Moore.
“Rep. Moore’s experience as a veteran, small business owner, and former state representative will be key as the Ranking Member for the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. Barry’s subcommittee is one of our most important. That is particularly true now with hundreds of thousands of veterans out of a job due to COVID-19. I know Barry will spearhead the fight in getting veterans back to work and helping them lead successful, fulfilling civilian lives,” said Ranking Member Bost.
