Highlights
Cutting wasteful spending in Congress
This past week, I stood with the House Freedom Caucus on our mission to cut spending and get real wins for the American people.
Voting against the 45 day Continuing Resolution
This past weekend, I voted against the 45-day CR. I proudly stand with my constituents in demanding we make massive cuts to the budget. I am prepared to stay in Washington and work with my colleagues across the conference as long as it takes to advance all 12 bills and protect the American people from the status quo of out-of-control spending.
Supporting a pay increase for all military personnel
This week, I voted in support of H.R. 4365, the FY24 Defense Appropriations Act. This legislation invests in a strong national defense to counter Chinese aggression and rejects Biden's policies that harm our mission readiness.
Examining the southwest border crisis
Earlier this month, I participated in the House Judiciary Immigration subcommittee hearing on terrorist entry through the southwest border. I was able to question Charles Marino, a former Senior Law Enforcement Advisor at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Click here to watch.

Congressional Democracy Award winner
I was honored to accept a Democracy Award from the Congressional Management Foundation today for Workplace Environment. Having the best and brightest conservative talent in the District and D.C. ensures that the people I represent receive the best constituent service possible. Click here to watch.
Supporting state and foreign operations appropriations bill
This week, I voted in favor of H.R. 4665, the 2024 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations bill. This legislation bolsters our national security and supports American allies while recognizing the greatest threat to our national security is our skyrocketing debt.
Supporting bankers across Alabama
Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting with bankers from across Alabama who are part of the Alabama Bankers Association to hear about current challenges in the industry and provide them a legislative update!
