The Moore You Know: March

May 20, 2025
Newsletter
Welcome to our March newsletter!

This month, we witnessed President Trump bring common sense back to our government, restore accountability and transparency, and reverse out-of-control spending.

If you need help from my office with the VA, IRS, or another federal agency, or with a government service like passport processing, please reach out to us. We’ve resolved over 6,000 cases since I took office in 2021. Our values and way of life are under attack, but I promise that I will continue to fight for you, your family, and Alabama’s 1st Congressional District.

Please reach out to my office at barrymoore.house.gov or 202-225-2901 if we can help you or your family in any way.

Getting Americans out of the dark

This month, Rep. Jimmy Panetta and I introduced the Stop Secret Sending Act of 2025.This will require federal agencies to disclose every taxpayer dollar they spend. Billions of dollars in federal spending are going unreported, and we must get Americans out of the dark.

Supporting our small and rural ports

I recently joined Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett to introduce the Broadband Internet for Small Ports Act. Our local port in Mobile is central to our community, this bill will help ports nationwide obtain federal grants and loans to improve their broadband internet coverage.

Advocating for a seat at the table

I recently sent aletter to President Trump requesting that an Alabamian be appointed to the Federal Emergency Management Agency Review Council. As one of the states most affected by both natural and man-made disasters, an Alabamian's insight on this council would be invaluable.

Working towards a stronger AL-01

It was great to meet with the city of Daphne this month. Mayor Robin LeJeune, members of the city council, and our Junior City Council members came to discuss issues impacting the Gulf Coast!

Praying for those impacted by the severe weather

I had the opportunity to visit First Presbyterian

Church in Atmore after the destructive storms to survey the damages. My thoughts are with the people and communities that were affected. Heather and I will be praying for a smooth and successful rebuilding process.

Meeting with AL-01's future leaders in Atmore

I had the pleasure of visiting Rachel Patterson

Elementary school in Atmore, Alabama to give students a legislative update. It was

a blast meeting and connecting with the future leaders of Alabama’s First Congressional District.

Visiting Alabama's future leaders in Loxley

I traveled to Loxley to tour Baldwin Preparatory Academy. It was great to learn about how these students are gaining experience in fields like aviation and welding. I'm excited to see how Baldwin Prep impacts its community and am thankful for the efforts they are making to help these students in their careers and life.

Celebrating New Businesses in Baldwin County

This month I spoke at the ribbon cutting for the Baldwin County Materials Recovery Facility in Summerdale. This new 60,000 square foot facility will be able to process up to 14,000 tons of recyclable material annually and will serve 55,000 households in Baldwin County and beyond.
