The Moore You Know Column: May 3-14
April’s dismal jobs report proves what we already knew to be true: Bidenomics is failing the American people.
Since President Biden took office, he’s prioritized massive spending, greater government regulation, and destructive tax hikes. These policies burden American workers and families, so it should come as no surprise that unemployment rose last month. In fact, employers only added 266,000 jobs - far from the initial projection of 1 million.
What’s Biden’s solution? Incentivize unemployment.
This might come as a shock to the President, but when you pay people not to work, they’ll do just that. By receiving $300 a week in federal unemployment insurance, slightly less than half of American workers are actually being paid more to stay home than work. Rewarding such behavior is crippling our economic recovery. But don’t just take it from me; small businesses across the nation, including right here in AL02, are struggling to find workers.
Biden’s failed economic policies will not usher prosperity - but reopening America will.

Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a radical worldview that argues our society can only be understood through racial identities. In other words, CRT believes every aspect of our lives is defined by the color of our skin. Ultimately, Critical Race Theory doesn’t unite Americans, it divides us.
Believe it or not, this divisive garbage is being taught to students across the nation. Why? Because Biden proposed a rule that allows the Department of Education to prioritize K-12 grants based on which schools include CRT in their curriculum.
Let me be clear: our children should not be taught that they are oppressors or oppressed based on their race. Nor should they be forced to believe America is systemically racist and evil.
I’ve recently joined many efforts in Congress to prohibit the spread of this harmful practice. From the Combatting Racist Teaching in Schools Act to the Stop CRT Act, I’m proud to fight back against government-sponsored tribalism.

Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States made historical steps towards peace in the Middle East. The incredible progress made through the Abraham Accords provided hope for the region’s future. Unfortunately, that progress has been undermined by the current administration.
By projecting weakness from the White House, President Biden has fueled violence in the Middle East. Over the last week, Israel has faced ongoing attacks from Hamas, an Iranian-backed terrorist organization. Palestinian terrorists have launched over 1,000 rockets targeting Israeli civilians. Meanwhile, Biden is involved in active negotiations with Iran, including the possibility of providing Iran billions in sanctions relief.
Clearly, now is the time for the United States to exude strength, not enrich and embolden Israel’s enemies. I’m proud to stand with Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East, and continue to pray for their safety and peace.
